Overrated = Getting too much praise than what they deserve; appraise too highly.
You’re saying, in a way, that The Hunger Games aren’t really as good as you make it to be. I dunno, I really dislike when people use the word “overrated” as a way of saying annoying, stupid, bad, etc.. It’s not much of an insult, just that it’s averagely good and shouldn’t be getting as much attention as it does. So yeah. That’s what you’re technically saying. Hunger Games isn’t that good, so it shouldn’t get the publicity it does. Which doesn’t make sense, as the person who wrote this seems to be a pretty big Hunger Games fan, who thinks the Hunger Games is fantastic. Which it is, which is why I don’t see it as something that’s being overrated, just appreciated as it should.
